„Project supported by a grant from Switzerland through the Swiss Contribution to the enlarged European Union”



On the 28th of June 2012 as part of Swiss – Polish Cooperation Programme (SPPW) an agreement concerning realization of the project “Prophylactic Programme for the prevention of addiction to alcohol, tobacco and other psychoactive substances” was signed. The project will be carried out from the 1st of July 2012 to the 31st of December 2016, in partnership of 4 institutions: Institute of Rural Health in Lublin, Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Łódź, The State Agency for Prevention of Alcohol Related Problems and National Bureau for Drug Prevention.

The main objective of the project is to reduce tobacco, alcohol and other psychoactive substances abuse by women of reproductive age and their environment, ie between 15 and 49 years of age.

The project will include the following activities:
1. Trainings for primary care physicians (paediatricians), gynaecologists, neonatologists, occupational health physicians, obstetricians, voivodeship and poviat co-ordinators from sanitary-epidemiological stations and teachers
2. Education programmes in workplaces and secondary schools
3. Social campaign
4. National survey aiming at the determination of health behaviors of pregnant women and the evaluation of measures undertaken
5. Internet platform – the System of Electronic Monitoring and Health Promotion

Under this Project the National Centre for Workplace Health Promotion organized the competition under the honour patronage of the Minister of Health for workplaces implementing policies aimed at eliminating/diminishing employees’ intake of psychoactive substances.
